ARTIST CRITIQUE NIGHTS

ARTIST CRITIQUE NIGHTS

February 16th

Carbondale Arts will begin hosting “Artist Critique Night” as part of its commitment to serving local artists, with the first to be held on Friday, February 16 from 6-8pm at The Launchpad (76 S. 4th St., Carbondale). Being critiqued isn’t easy but often helps artists problem solve and progress. Insight between artists, peers and critics often spark phenomenal ideas. Critique Nights are given by professional and accomplished artists and curators in a casual environment (BYOB). Artists may bring works in progress or finalized pieces to discuss.

February’s critiques will be given by Lindsay Jones, an artist and freelance illustrator/designer currently based in Carbondale. Lindsay has been teaching Art History and Graphic Design classes at CMC for the past six years, and prior to that was teaching art courses during her graduate studies at Purdue University (where she received her Masters of Art), and the University of Oregon(where she received a Masters of Fine Arts). Her degrees are in painting, printmaking, and sculpture. Her work can be seen on her website lindsayannajones.com, and on instagram @lindsayannajones.

Critique Nights participation is limited to 6 artists and is free for current members and $20 for non-members. The discount promo code is MEMBER.
