Jack Brendlinger Restrospective and Transcultural Bonding in Clothing by Etar
First off, a retrospective exhibition of Jack Brendlinger’s sculptural bronze works, which are produced with the lost wax technique. With age, his work has become abstract, gravity defying, modern, and filled with whimsical characters. Jack is a fifth generation Coloradan (born in Denver) and is a highly accomplished artist and sculptor.
Another solo exhibition "Transcultural Bonding In Clothing" represents the work of Etar, an established and well-known fabric artist in the Roaring Fork Valley. The show will take visitors on a transcultural journey through fabric, highlighting Etar's experiences working with locals in Bolivia, Uzbekistan, Dubai, and many parts of Europe as well. Etar has lived and worked in Aspen for over 30 years and created unique, high-end clothing for many dedicated clients.
The preview begins at 5:30pm, including a talk with both Jack and Etar, followed by the opening reception for the public at 6:00pm. We'd love to have you come get a first look at the artwork before it officially opens. We also plan to have a champagne toast during the talk to show our appreciation for these longtime and dedicated artists!
We hope to see you this THURSDAY, September 12, for the reception and we appreciate your support of Carbondale Arts. Thank you!
