Interwoven: Fiber & Clay exhibition

OPENING RECEPTION: First Friday, September 6th 6-8 pm
EXHIBITION DATES: September 6th - 27th, 2019

Over the upcoming years, the Carbondale Clay Center will showcase and host fellow Colorado Creative Districts to bring together Colorado artists to foster connection and collaboration. Interwoven: Fiber & Clay is the second exhibition in the series of Colorado Creative District Highlight Exhibitions and brings Salida artists Matney Warner & Lauren Thomson together with Carbondale artists Collette Spears, Cate Tallmadge, and Savanna LaBauve. Through multiple collaborations, these five artists weave and wedge together fiber and clay. In addition to showcasing collaborative works, Interwoven: Fiber & Clay will also exhibit solo works from each artist.

“The Colorado Creative District Highlight Exhibitions are a way to connect artists. Colorado is filled with so many creative people and more than 25 creative districts. Our goal is to bring together artists from all mediums across the districts that would normally have not had the chance to work in collaboration,” says Carbondale Clay Center Executive Director, Angela Bruno.

Interwoven: Fiber & Clay will be on display at the Carbondale Clay Center Gallery from September 6th through 27th. The Carbondale Clay Center is located at 135 Main Street, Carbondale, CO 81623. Gallery Hours are Monday through Friday from 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
