The Salon in Carbondale

The Salon in Carbondale

The Salon is modeled after the award-winning performance series in Philadelphia which itself is modeled after the 19th Century European salons. These events feature a broad spectrum of artistic performance, including all types of music, spoken word, dance and multimedia works. Many of the pieces and ensembles are experimental and created specifically to suit the intimate atmosphere. While each salon is different, they all have a powerful, inspirational impact that comes from the close connection between the artists and the audience. Previous events have sold out multiple times and earned rave reviews from both audiences and performers.
The 8th Anniversary Salon is supported by Carbondale Arts, Under Alya’s Umbrella, Amore Realty, The Embrey Family Foundation, Jennifer Catto, Kiley Michelle and inspired by our award winning sister Salon in Philadelphia founded by Andrea Clearfield
