PRINTMAKING AT THE PROJECT SHOP
Saturday, October 21, from 10am-3pm
The CU Carbondale Speakers Series presents a printmaking workshop with C.U. Graduate Student Julia Klema on Saturday, Oct. 21 from 10a.m. to 3p.m. at The Project Shop at SAW (525 Buggy Cir., Carbondale). This workshop explores a variety of monoprinting techniques including color reductive printing from plexiglass, collograph printing, and the use of stenciling. These techniques offer a wide range of expressive possibilities and applications that can be used across media. These are also processes that require limited supplies and studio space and are therefore easily done from your home studio! Participants will come away with a series of unique prints or a varied edition of prints. Bring an apron, additional paper if needed, and a lunch. Registration is $75 per participant and participants must pre-register by October 18. The CU Carbondale Lecture Series is made possible by Carbondale Arts, The University of Colorado Boulder, The Carbondale Library, and the Project Shop.
